Mission and Prospects
The mission of the Educational Department of the School of Allied Medical Sciences is to promote the scientific level of both faculty members and students. This is achieved through careful analysis of educational curricula, supervision over the execution of educational regulations, offering educational services in order to execute the curriculum of various educational groups and training professional and committed experts in the fields of Allied Medical Sciences. Due to the variety in fields and levels, this School has the most number of student admission among all the schools affiliated to Lorestan University of Medical Sciences. Hence, adherence to the responsibilities, ethics, organizational enhancement, abiding to regulations, student orientation, perseverance in principles, trust and honesty, sympathy and kindness, teamwork and respecting human dignity are of high significance for us.
It is the goal of the Educational Department to make the best use of the capabilities of the academic staff and human sources in the domain of the educational department. Moreover, it is necessary to enhance team-work and trust in experts who are not only devoted but also innovative in educational groups. We are committed to providing an attractive scientific and inspiring atmosphere in educational domains for various fields of expertise at the School. Of further significance, is making the most of co-thinking and interactivity among different fields in support of the ultimate goals of the School and Ministry of Health and Medical Education in promoting medical education within the country. Furthermore, the Educational Department intends to promote itself in operational domains in order to increase efficacy in training expert human resources and to win a high rank, in this respect, among all schools in the country.
Objectives
· Recruitment of faculty members according to the needs of educational departments at the School
· Empowering the faculty members in educational domains such as virtual learning
· Development of E-learning in various courses offered by instructors
· Improving the infra-structure and enhancing the educational equipment and facilities
· Improvement of scientific and functional levels
· Improvement of student learning
· Obtaining permits for complementary studies for various departments
· Preparing the ground for the enhancement of evaluation systems
· Revision of curricula in various departments
· Promotion of the Educational Department section of the website
· Supervision and evaluation of the activities at the Educational Department in order to improve the educational standards
· Supervision over EDO nucleus and enhancement of corresponding activities to promote educational levels and to standardize them according to modern medical training
· Designing, confirmation, application and execution of programs related to modern fields in medical branches in proportion to the requirements of the country in graduate and postgraduate education
· Equipping and setting into operation specialized laboratories depending on the scientific and specialized requirements of the departments in order to promote scientific standards
· Obtaining the highest rank among all the schools affiliated to LUMS
· Making efforts to recruits foreign students from neighboring and Muslim countries
· Conducting workshops in different fields for both the staff and students
